On the day of your colour service you will be asked the following questions. If you are required to have a skin test but haven’t then we WILL NOT be able to continue with a colour service inline with current regulations and you may still be charged for the appointment.
Please note that this policy has been designed specifically for HEIR Salon and Education and is inline with current manufacturers guidelines as well as insurance policy wording.
As these could change it is important that you read this information before every colour appointment, to avoid your appointment being cancelled for health and safety reasons.
At the start of your appointment you will be asked the following questions:
Are you under 16 years of age?
Yes? You can’t book a colour service at HEIR Salon, if you have done so already please cancel it.

Have you had allergic reactions to hair colourants or skin tests before?
Yes? You can’t book a colour service at HEIR Salon, if you have done so already please cancel it.
No? Q3
Have you had an allergic reaction to any type of skin tattoo including henna or semi permanent makeup?
Yes? You can’t book a colour service at HEIR Salon, if you have done so already please cancel it.

Do you have any skin or face rashes, sensitive irritated or damaged scalp?
Yes? You can’t have a colour service at HEIR Salon at this time, if you have done so already please cancel or amend the date.

Are you new to HEIR Salon or having a different brand colour applied than usual?
Yes? You are are required to have a skin test at least 48 hours before the appointment. Please contact us now.

Is it more than 6 months since you last had a colour at HEIR Salon or a skin test at HEIR Salon?
Yes? You are are required to have a skin test at least 48 hours before the appointment. Please contact us now.
NO? Q7
Have you coloured your hair (including home toners) or had a colour at a different salon since your last colour at HEIR?
Yes? You are are required to have a skin test at least 48 hours before the appointment. Please contact us now.

Have you had an allergic reaction to ANYTHING since the last colour?
Yes? You are required to have a skin test at least 48 hours before the appointment. Please contact us now.

Have you had any type of henna, tattoo or semi permanent makeup SINCE last colour?
Yes? You are are required to have a skin test at least 48 hours before the appointment. Please contact us now.
